Description

WIP - Boba Fett

I have never EVER done a Star Wars related piece in my entire drawing life. Take note: NEVER. EVER. But somehow I found myself working on one, just now. =D
And here's an extra treat for me, the subject is Boba Fett, one of the baddest characters in the franchise! Hope you guys like it, more previews coming
your way!

Since I did a critique last time, I thought I might as well again. So, here it is.

I like this picture. It has the artist's own unique flair, and I like that about the picture. The image is epic, simple, and straightforward: Boba Fett is a force to be reckoned with. I like the way the artist used the green for his armor. It draws attention to his prospect as a bounty hunter. I also like the setting that the picture is placed into. It's a theme that gives off a sense of mystery, and the way that Boba Fett seems to be preparing for something coming his way shows that a fight is about to occur. The cape gives off an extra sense of epicness, cause who doesn't love a cape billowing in the wind? To put it simply, I like the picture, and that's that, whether or not the artist thought of all the things I just said.

Now, this being a critique and I being a person who seems to be put off at the most minor of things, I am going to nitpick just slightly here. I am not sure whether the gun is supposed to be as small as it is, but I feel like it's a bit on the small side. Secondly, the gun seems to just be held awkwardly. This is assuming, of course, that he is preparing to fire. If he is not and simply observing, then the position is more of "at ready", which is appropriate. Regardless, these are minor things, and I like the picture. It's epic, cool, and is about Boba Fett, who didn't exactly have a lot of time to act epic before he was eaten. So, I like it. Keep up the good work!
