Pacquiao 01

To those who don't follow boxing let me introduce to you Manny Pacquiao, the Pound for pound world number 1 boxer in the world, coming from my home country the Philippines! His accomplishments include 8 world titles from 8 different weight classes (only person to have done that in boxing history), a congressman in the Saranggani province Philippines (personally i'm not a big fan of it), has recently released a 7 song album covering Dan Hill's "Sometimes when we Touch" (LOL, i find this so hilarious) and many many many more! This guy just doesn't stay put, he does everything! He also inspires many people because of his work ethic and attitude as a boxer and a servant of the community. Come May 7, 2011 he defends his WBO welterweight title against Sugar Shane Mosley, so in honor of this legendary boxer i decided to come up with a few pieces and call it the "Pacquiao Week Series". I will be uploading more artworks as the days go by leading up to the fight.

Pacquiao 01: The Light-hearted

So this is the 1st artwork i did for the Pacquiao Week series and with this piece I want to show the Light-hearted side of Manny. Being the humble and always happy person, he is one mean bad ass when he steps into the boxing ring beating up guys who are supposedly bigger than him. I also gave a bright and happy colors of the Philippine flag to match the mood of the subject. Hope you guys like it!
